Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Congratulations to the Baldwin City Host Committee for coordinating the successful Famous Kansans Chautauqua. The Kansas Humanities Council appreciates all of the hard work done by everyone involved, including community volunteers. The list of accomplishments and successes is impressive.
KHC encourages all Kansans to examine the ideas, history and traditions that shape our lives and our communities. It is clear from the wonderful response to the Chautauqua that Baldwin City values its rich history. We look forward to working with your community again on future programs.

To the editor:
If one believes an organization, especially government, can achieve 100 percent efficiency in spending, say aye!
Of course, it could mean to spend every cent you have.
