Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Baldwin City USD 348 recognizes the service and sacrifices of veterans.
It is our desire that the events that occurred last Thursday do not detract from the honor veterans deserve. It is and has been our practice in this district to honor veterans in our schools and to educate students about their contributions to our country. The practice of honoring Veterans will continue in this district for years to come. We are committed to having an assembly at Baldwin High School, which properly recognizes Veterans and their contributions. Baldwin City USD 348 salutes all veterans.

To the editor:
I hope all band lovers have seen and heard the Baldwin High School band during halftime of our great Bulldog football games. Will Cooper should be proud of the band's performance on the field and in the stands. His student director, Isaac Twombly, is also outstanding. The band makes BHS stand above all others. I hope Twombly will be around to replace Cooper in 25 years.

To the editor:
A huge thank you to the folks of Baldwin City for tricking and treating us through another halloween. The effort that people put into their costumes, decorations and treats filled my heart with appreciation and my daughter's memories with a wonderful, small town experience.
It is a shame that so many people missed this by loading up their kids and driving to another neighborhood. Their friends and neighbors were left with dark houses and full bowls of candy.
