Baker construction continues
April 3, 2008
Construction progress continues on Baker University's new Living and Learning Center.
Last week, workers from Maxim Construction added brick to the outside of the building, which will give it a similar look to the newest living quarters, the student apartments, which are located next to the new facility.
This $6.3 million, 190-bed Living and Learning Center began construction in November and is expected to be finished Aug. 1.
Baker's new living and learning center will be similar to Avila University's new facility. Hollis and Miller (Overland Park) were the architects for that building and Maxim Construction were the builders, too. Baker is also using the same developer as Avila, Student Suites, out of Blue Springs, Mo.
